Enjoying Life in Local Restaurants
Last night, my wife and I went out to eat with our daughter and her husband. We went to a restaurant that I had heard about for some time, but had never gone to. This local restaurant is called Proietti’s. It was a great place and I loved the food. My wife, Michele, and I love to enjoy life and this was certainly one of those occasions.
The restaurant was packed when we got there. We were told it would be about twenty minutes, but I think it was closer to forty. Why on a Thursday night I don’t know. Even our waitress said it was strange. I must have been Earth Day!
I have to admit that one of the reasons I had never gone into this place is because it is located in a strip mall with a regular looking strip mall type door. It doesn’t look much different than the laundromat a couple doors down. When you get inside, that all changes. It was like walking through a time warp into Italy.
The wait for our food, once we were seated, was not bad at all. We had time to talk and enjoy life. When the food came, all conversation stopped. There was little to be heard from our table other than the munching of wonderful food.
If you live in the Webster NY area, I recommend Proietti’s. If you don’t, I recommend checking out local restaurants that have a reputation for being good. Don’t let appearances fool you. Enjoying life is what we are here to do. Don’t let your own poor judgment keep you from it!

P.S. Tomorrow, we are off to Oswego, NY to sample Rudy’s Lakeside Drivethru. It is supposed to be one of the best places for fish and clams. I found this place through Lonely Planet Guidebooks

What makes this blog different? I'm not twenty something. I'm in my sixties. I've lived a lot of life, made a ton of mistakes, and learned a bunch.
