Lonely Planet Trip Guides
I recently bought a trip guide from Lonely Planet for my end of the US. I have got to say that this Little road trip guide is the best I have ever seen. I cannot wait to take some of these trips! I am hoping to do one this weekend. Now Lonely Planet sells guides for just about every part of the globe. If they are all as good as the one I just bought, they are worth their weight in gold!
The one I bought is for New York, Washington DC, and the mid-Atlantic. I wrote in “Are You a Traveler or a USA Tourist?” that I am not fond of the whole tourist thing and really consider myself a traveler. I want to experience the area, the people, and the local culture. The Lonely Planet trip guide gives me exactly that! It often suggests the road less traveled, the out of the way places to visit, the unique places to stay and great places to eat (my favorite!).
When i say that it gives those thing I mentioned I mean that it not only tells you when to go there, but what time they open, what the average cost is (including in the restaurants) and what is so good about it. This tells me right up front if someplace is out of my price range or if it is so special that I want to save up to make sure I have enough.
If you are going anywhere in the next few months, from a full out vacation, to a lazy drive, I highly recommend the Lonely Planet and its trip guides. The small cost is well worth the wonderful experience you will have. Check them out! Lonely Planet Guidebooks
P.S. If you do take a trip, make sure to post your pictures on Flickr so we can all see them!

This site is about helping you live the transitions in your life, return to your dreams and live the life you always wanted. Why should you give up on life?
What makes this blog different? I'm not twenty something. I'm in my sixties. I've lived a lot of life, made a ton of mistakes, and learned a bunch.
